Mona Lisa

Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Mona Lisa" is the first thing that tourists from any country associate the Louvre with. This is the most famous and mysterious painting in the history of world art. Her mysterious smile still makes people think and charm people who do not like or are not interested in painting. And the story of her abduction at the beginning of the 20th century turned the painting into a living legend.

Vincent van Gogh

The Dutch impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh painted a self-portrait in oil on canvas in September 1889. The work, which may have been Van Gogh's last self-portrait, was painted shortly before he left Saint-Remy-de-Provence in southern France. The painting is now in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

Sistine Madonna

The painting depicts the Madonna and Child surrounded by Pope Sixtus II and Saint Barbara on the sides and with two angels looking up at the descent of God. The shapes form a triangle. The curtain opened on the sides once again underlines the geometric thoughtfulness of the composition.
