Battle of Agosta

The naval battle that took place on April 22, 1676 near the Sicilian city of Agosta (Augusta, southeastern coast of Sicily) during the Dutch war between a French squadron commanded by Vice Admiral Abraham Duquesne and a Dutch-Spanish squadron commanded by Admirals Michael de Ruyter and Don Francisco de la Cerda.
